Yesterday afternoon EMER-G-MED’s RV5 was called out to reports of a serious collision on the Vaaldam Road (R549) near Karan Beef, in Heidelberg.
On arrival it was found that a bakkie had rolled multiple times, coming to a rest on its side.
One person was found to have sustained fatal injuries, and was declared dead on the scene. Four other patients sustained moderate injuries and were transported by other services to various nearby hospitals.
The cause of the collision is unknown, and will form part of a police investigation.
