The driver of a bakkie had to be extricated from the vehicle following a collision on the M61 between the Kliprivier turn off and Meyerton this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene and found that a bakkie and car had collided.
Midvaal Fire and Rescue was on scene to extricate the driver believed to be 29 years of age.
Upon assessment of the driver, paramedics found that he sustained moderate injuries.
The passenger of the vehicle, who is believed to have gotten out of the vehicle himself, as well as the occupant of the car, were assessed and found to have sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
All patients were treated and transported to local hospitals for further medical care.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
