Two nigerians nabbed for rape and kidnapping

VEREENIGIGNG. – Vereeniging Police last week managed to arrest a total of 20 people for various crimes. Police Spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda confirms that all the arrested persons will appear in the Vereeniging Magistrates court.
“In another incident, members of the SAPS received a tip-off of about a brothel in Riverbend. On arrival they found two African ladies.” Funda adds that Police asked to search the house and found a number of used condoms under the bed.
“Police enquired about the used condoms, the two ladies said they were selling sex for money. They further stated that they were kidnapped and brought there by the two Nigerians to do that.”
“The two ladies further said that they were raped by these two Nigerians.” The two culprits were then arrested and charged with human trafficking and rape. They have since appeared in court.
Funda further warns the community about a group of young boys aged between 16 and 19 robbing people in trains travelling between Eatonside and Vereeniging train stations.
“They call themselves ‘wrongturns’, seven cases have been opened already and are under investigation.” Funda concludes.
