On Friday, 19 August 2016, Itsoseng Regional Court sentenced a 25-year-old Vincent Kgaje of Bodibe to 16 years imprisonment.
Kgaje was sentenced for raping a woman, (28) in November 2014 in Zone 3, Itsoseng. The woman reported to the police that the accused who was a friend of her boyfriend raped her inside the house in which her boyfriend left her.
Upon sentencing the accused, the court declared him unfit to possess a firearm in terms of Section 103 of the Firearms Control Act, 2000 (Act No. 60 of 2000).
