See the return of this beloved character on the Big Screen from this Friday, 2 September 2016 – it will be releasing at cinemas nationwide.

After endearing South African audiences with the iconic, animated children’s TV series in the 1980s, HEIDI is a heart-warming story about childhood, acceptance and friendship for the whole family. It is the first time HEIDI will release on South African screens – and in Afrikaans (with selected English screenings as well)!

This new live action cinema version of the story features the voices of some of South Africa’s most well-known local acting talent – including Jenna Dunster (Heidi), Charlene Brouwer (Klara), Ruan Wessels (Peter), Louis van Niekerk (Oupa), Rolanda Marais (Miss Rottenmeier), Sandra Prinsloo, Anel Alexander as well as Anelisa Weiland (who was the voice of Heidi in the original animated TV series).

The Afrikaans dubbing was directed by Henriëtta Gryffenberg. Click here to view the trailer >> https://youtu.be/F1pP1ECHih4
