Two trucks collide injuring six

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring reports that six people were injured recently following a collision between two trucks at the Van Riebeck and Houtkop Road intersection in Vereeniging.

Meiring adds that rescue workers had to use the jaws-of-life equipment to free the trapped men in an operation that lasted more than an hour.
“Once freed, paramedics treated all six patients for their injuries, which ranged from minor to moderate. The patients were thereafter transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.” Meiring concludes.
