Delectable chocolate treat at Stonehaven

VANDERBIJLPARK. – The annual Ladies C4C (Children for Children) Chocolate Tea, a combined project between Rotary clubs of Riverside and Vanderbijlpark, took place during Woman’s Month at Stonehaven on Vaal.

This year the event had a record attendance of more than 160 ladies. This Chocolate Tea is growing more popular every year and tables are booked a year in advance.

Stonehaven on Vaal again sponsored the venue. The decor and menu, put together by well-trained staff, complimented the Chocolate Tea theme excellently.

Ladies were spoiled with “goody bags” containing a variety of gifts, and many lucky draws donated by several sponsors. Some of the ladies dressed A La Chocolate and were rewarded with prizes for their effort.

The speaker, Liza Clifford, a renowned bra fitting specialist, had the ladies all ears with her “uplifting” topic.

MC Dave Hammond from IFM radio sponsored his own time and service and, as in the past, set the scene with his witty comments to keep everybody in good spirits.

The event was ended off with a cruise down the Vaal River on the Spirit of Jen. This ensured a joyful closure to an outstanding event once again.
