Two drivers critical after collision with two trucks

MEYERTON. – Two men in two separate vehicles, believed to be in their 40s, are in a critical condition after a collision with two trucks on the R59 in Redan yesterday morning 30 January. 

At approximately 11:40, ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the drivers entrapped in their vehicles between the two trucks. After Fire and Rescue personnel used the Jaws of Life to get the men out of their cars, they were treated and transported to Mediclinic Vereeniging. The two truck drivers were not transported to hospital. The circumstances surrounding the incident were not yet known, but local authorities were on the scene.
