Pretoria aircrash update - one killed

One person was killed while nineteen people were injured when an aircraft crashed into a factory in the north of Pretoria on Tuesday afternoon.

This is according to Tshwane Emergency Services spokesperson who said the one fatality was in the charter plane and two people inside the factory were injured when the plane crashed into the building.

This happened shortly after the international chartered aircraft had taken off, said local CPF chairman Vernon Smith.

“Residents watched in horror as the airplane fell into a field east of the Moloto Road.”

Paramedic Xander Loubser said early indications were that 19 people were injured in the crash.

Several of them suffered critical and serious injuries, he said.

According to Loubser several patients have been airlifted to nearby hospitals.
