Vaal Marina dominated by Harcourts
Harcourts has steamrolled the competition in the prestigious Vaal Marina area, and will most certainly feature on the property pages when you are browsing property for sale in this area. MD of the Tergro Group, Mario Grobler, has explained just how dominant they have become in the area.

If you have been looking for property for sale in Vaal Marina in recent times, there is a big chance that you may be familiar with the local Harcourts franchise as their presence in the area is certainly unrivalled.
This is because Harcourts has become the dominant force in the area, owning a market share of between 58% and 62% when looking at monthly registration figures from the Deeds Office, as confirmed by the MD of the Tergro Group, Mario Grobler.
This is a terrific area to have such a stronghold in, as Vaal Marina is considered as the perfect playground for many of Gauteng’s most successful business personalities. Not only does it offer upmarket waterfront living, but there are sublime views and a variety of water sports to enjoy, including skiing, yachting and fishing.
Harcourts’ ambition to take hold of the area started to take shape around three years ago, where they breached the 50% mark, and Grobler says they aim to further their growth through continued excellence in real estate services. In fact, the expertise and experience of their agents in the area is evident, considering that many rank among the top Harcourts agents in the entire country.
Most Vaal Marina residents or home owners fall into the high-income bracket, with waterfront properties fetching prices of around R14 million, but Grobler says that they focus on a wide spectrum of properties, with small homes or compact units in the area starting at significantly less – around R500 000.
Their focus on securing properties of differing sizes and values is to ensure that their branch caters for all buyers – whether they require ultra-luxurious waterfront living or a simple getaway cottage for use on weekends.
