Hijacked vehicle transport truck recovered with vehicles
VEREENIGING. – On Friday 21 December 2018 Sedibeng Flying Squad members recovered a hi jacked truck , trailer and four (04) vehicles that was transported on the trailer.
At 07:00 W/O Harmse , Sgt Nienaber and Sgt Mohapi received information from Netstar tracking of a truck that was hi jacked between Villiers and Vereeniging carrying eight (08) cars. During investigation coordinates was received from tracking company and truck was found on Corra Botha street Sonlandpark. Within the vicinity of the truck three (03) motor vehicles was also recovered that was being transported on the truck. Two (02) hayundai iX35 and one (01) Nissan NP200.
With further investigation Cst Motaung and Cst Mcetywa of Sedibeng Flying Squad followed up coordinates for an Audi Q5 that was also missing from the truck and the Audi Q5 was recovered in Stredford Orange Farms at the Total garage . The Audi Q5 was found abandoned. The total value of the Hi jacked vehicles is +/- R 5 Million.
