Sedibeng K9 arrest suspect with unlicensed fire arm

VANDERBIJLPARK. – On Tuesday 21 May 2019 at 10:30 members of SEDIBENG K9 Sargent Nkosinathi  Mira, Sargent Sipho Mkwanazi and constable Pule Hlabayo received information from a member of the  Public about a person who was possibly in possession of a Firearm next to a Tuckshop in Lakeside Proper Evaton.

Upon arrival at the said adress, they noticed an African male fitting the description of the suspect standing next to a tuckshop. The members approached the male and after searching him found one(1) 9mm Pistol. It was found that the fire arm was a 9mm ARCUS pistol with full magazine fifteen (15) rounds on the waist of the suspect and that the serial number was filed off. The suspect was arrested for possession of Prohibited Fire Arm and Ammunition and will appear in the Sebokeng magistrates court.
