Suspect arrested with suspected stolen motor vehicle

VANDERBIJLPARK. – On Friday 19 May 2019 members of Sedibeng Flying Squad arrested one suspect for possession of stolen motor vehicle.Sedibeng Flying Squad members Warrant officer Billy Mokake , Sargent Simpiwe Hlabane and Constable Joseph Mokoena was busy with crime prevention patrols in Orange Farms area. While patrolling the area they received a tracking signal of a white Nissan NP200 that was stolen in Lenasia at about 09:10 the members observed the vehicle moving on the R28 Randfontein road towards the N1 highway. The vehicle increased speed and the members gave chase following the vehicle until it drove into a dead end street at 5th avenue Ennerdale. The suspect jumped out of the vehicle and started running but the members managed to catch up with the suspect and arrested him.

The 20 year old suspect was detained at Ennerdale SAPS and appeared in the Vereeniging magistrates court on charge of possession of stolen motor vehicle .
