From front man to businessman

VANDERBIJLPARK. – After being the front man of well-known rock band Changing Face for several years, Lloyd Peltier (32) is now a successful businessman.
He has been involved in the music industry on a full-time basis since 2006. Since then Changing Face has released three successful albums, which mostly consist of original music by Lloyd and Changing Face members. This included two hit songs ‘Forever and Ever Young’ and ‘Everything Changes.’
The band shared the stage with top South African artists and bands and even toured America.
On average they performed between 250 and 320 shows a year.
But all this changed in 2013 when Lloyd made the decision to say goodbye to the entertainment world and hello to the business world.
He opened a chicken shop in Vereeniging and the success of the shop lead to a partnership with CDS (Cold Distribution Services) and a second shop was opened in Vanderbijpark.
A third shop will be opened in Vereeniging during October.
“I have an aggressive plan to open seven more shops,” says Lloyd. “I miss performing with the band, but luckily I still perform every so often as a solo artist at Vaal du Pont.” His next performance is Saturday.
“At the moment my schedule is very busy, but in future when I have more time to myself I will perfrom more,” says Lloyd.
