‘O kae molao’ nets suspects

VANDERBIJLPARK. – A two day Sedibeng Region Law Enforcement operation under the name, ‘O kae Molao’ saw police conducting stop and searches, road blocks, and going to scrap yards and taverns not complying with the law last week.
The police, however, found that most comply with regulations. During the operation police also discovered a 9mm pistol in possession of a foreign national tuck-shop owner, the gun did not have a magazine.
The tuck shop owner was arrested and faces a charge of possession of an illegal firearm. Fake cigarettes were also seized. Community members assisted police by pointing out one of the suspects house where he was found in possession of drugs. Police spokesperson, Sergeant Gertrude Makhale, said the arrested suspects will appear at the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate court soon.
