Fourteen injured in collision

MEYERTON. – Fourteen people were left injured following a collision between a taxi and a light motor vehicle on the R59 at the Meyer offramp in Meyerton last night.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene, they found most of the patients seated on the grass. Upon further assessment, paramedics found that fourteen patients sustained minor to moderate injuries.

No-one from the light motor vehicle sustained any injuries.

ER24, as well as the Provincial EMS, transported the patients to hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
