VANDERBIJLPARK. – The SAPS is investigating a murder case following an incident that occurred on Monday the 19th August 2019. It is alleged that deceased and his friends were sitting when the suspect accused the victims of injecting themselves with “nyaope”. He shot the deceased. The deceased was later known as Bafana Guma 25 years of age.
Suspect was handed over to the Police by the community members who were aggravated by the suspect behavior. His vehicle was also burned by the community. The suspect is 39 years of age, firearm of the suspect was stolen at the scene and within 48 hours a male suspect was traced and arrested for possession of suspected stolen firearm.
Brigadier Nikiwe Hoaeane applauded the members for handling the matter professionally and prioritizing the case and making sure they recover the firearm before it committed another crime.
Vanderbijlpark SAPS is requesting for more witnesses with information to please come forward to Vanderbijlpark Police Station and ask for Cst. Maloma, Investigating Officer to submit their statements for investigation purposes.
