“ER24 medics arrived on the scene at 17h30 to find the two vehicles in the middle of the road. The biker, a man in his 30s, was found seated on the pavement while the driver of the light motor vehicle was found walking around the scene.
Medics assessed the patients and found that the biker had sustained injuries to his shoulder and pelvis, leaving him in a serious condition,” ER24 Spokesperson Ross Campbell said in a statement.
The man was treated for his injuries and provided with pain-relief medications before he was transported to Mediclinic Vereeniging for further treatment.
The driver of the light motor vehicle escaped injury. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
