The employees are said to have downed tools and blocked the gates of the ELM’s head offices in Vanderbijlpark this morning (Thursday) demanding payment that has apparently been due for the past five months, they have apparently been joined by funeral parlous in the area who have been inconvenienced by the closure of the Parks and Cemetery Department.
ELM’s Executive Mayor, Gift Moerane is said to be engaging the employees to find a solution to the matter.
