3D printing community’s help needed
We are calling onto the 3D printing community in Gauteng to assist Netcare 911 to print face shields for medical staff treating patients with the deadly Covid-19 virus. Currently, they have a massive shortage with protective gear and the usual suppliers can only deliver in a few week's time. We can, however, make a difference!
How can I help?
We need to utilize as many printers as possible to assist with the current need. We are aiming to have more than 100 3D printers contributing to the project. This will produce more than 1000 face shields per day. If you have a 3D printer that can print PLA which has a build volume of 200 x 200mm and are in Gauteng then you can help! The STL file and print setting are given below. When you have printed 10 face masks, then complete the Google form below and a Netcare ambulance will collect the masks when in your area. It is that easy!
