Mediclinic V’ging: Quality healthcare services now even more impressive
Mediclinic Vereeniging’s major building upgrade project is well underway with the first 24 months’ work now completed.

During the first phase of Mediclinic Vereeniging’s building upgrade project, the new 18 bed Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit, Medical Ward, Surgical Ward, Orthopaedic Ward and Pharmacy were upgraded. During the latter part of this phase, construction started in the Theatre Complex, Emergency Centre, Paediatric Ward and Maternity/Obstetric Ward. These areas are progressing well and will be completed during the next few months.
The new Maternity Ward now boasts 27 beds consisting of 2 private rooms, 16 semi-private rooms and three 3 bedded rooms. The two delivery areas are equipped with their own private facilities. The Maternity Unit is linked with direct access to the Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit, creating a closed-unit concept in which parents can move freely and safely between the units.
“Coupled with dedicated and skilled clinical specialists and employees, this exciting project aims to provide quality world-class healthcare services to the community of the Vaal Triangle and stays true to Mediclinic’s commitment to delivering expertise you can trust,” says Hospital General Manager, Jaco Jacobs.
