VANDERBIJLPARK. – Police are investigating an inquest after the death of a 66-year-old man who died in Bedworth Park yesterday.
According to police spokesperson Colonel Noxolo kweza, the man collapsed while standing in the queue to collect his social grant.
“Paramedics were called to the scene, on arrival they declared the man dead. Police are investigating.”
Thousands of elderly and disabled persons were urged by the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) to collect their grants early in a bid to contain the spread of Covid-19.
