Cash-in-transit vehicle rolls leaving man seriously injured in Meyerton

MEYERTON: A 54-year-old man was left seriously injured Tuesday morning when their cash-in-transit vehicle rolled on the R557 in Meyerton.

“ER24 paramedics, along with Meyerton EMS, arrived on the scene at 11h40 to find the vehicle lying on its roof on the side of the road. The three men had already climbed out and were found seated near their vehicle,” ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said in a statement.

“Medics assessed the men and found that two had escaped injury while the third man had sustained serious injuries to his back.”

The man was treated for his injuries and provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported to a nearby hospital for further care.”

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
