EVATON. – The Sedibeng K9-unit busted a dagga dealer last week in Palm Springs in Evaton after a tip-off from a source. Warrant officer Juanita Rost, Sergeant Thokozani Mnisi, Sergeant Mzwanfile Ziqubu, and Sergeant Nelson Grilo went to the address and searched the house with the permission of the suspect. Sgt. Mnisi found a black plastic bag full of dagga in the living room hidden in the couch.
In the rondawel next to the house another four plastics bags full of dagga were found by warrant officer Rost in a cooler box. A total of 2.144 kg dagga with a street value of R6 800 was confiscated. The suspect was arrested for dealing and possession of dagga according to the Drugs and Drugs Trafficking Act 140 of 1992.
