Animal World welcomes Buttercup’s triplets
VANDERBIJLPARK. - While following the stipulated period for national lockdown and the extension thereof, the Emerald Resort & Casino's Animal World recently welcomed the latest addition to their family ... Buttercup (the mountain goat) gave birth to triplets!
It is believed that Buttercup gave birth to her adorable triplets on May 12. Her caregivers posted on their website that all is well with mom and the babies saying: “You will be pleased to hear that our Animal World’s lockdown triplets are healthy and well. The smallest of the three (weighing only 1.7 kg at birth) had to be taken away as mom did not have enough milk to keep all three . The third one is thriving and being spoiled rotten while being hand reared”.
Good news indeed! Vaalweekblad congratulates Animal Word on their new babies and wish them all the best in caring for them.
- Although all Emerald operations have come to a standstill, there are still lots of love and attention needed at the Emerald Resort’s popular Animal Word. Luckily they have their very own heroes who are doing the essential work of looking after the animals on a daily basis. Animal World is said to house approximately 500 animals from 88 species, including arachnids, reptiles and mammals. The main attractions are lions, hippos, snakes and rare lemurs. They also have Chilean flamingo, the umbrella cockatoo and other exotic birds.
