Emerald Resort & Casino’s latest attraction at Animal World, “Jade”, a reticulated python, has gone missing. Management is asking local residents in the Vaal to be on the lookout.

“She is perfectly harmless, like all pythons she is a non-venomous constrictor and not considered dangerous to humans,” says Lindiwe Mncube, PR & Media Manager at Emerald Resort & Casino. “We know that the pythons love water and are excellent swimmers, so residents along the Vaal River are asked to be on the lookout.”

Measuring in a respectable 5.2m, the python was recently imported from Asia as the newest star attraction at Animal World and is the largest reptile on show.

“Local residents are asked to contact us urgently should Jade be seen,” concludes Lindiwe.
