Shame on Municipality

This work in front of the underground parking garage of the Ekspa building, Van Rijn Plein in Vanderbijlpark is an embarrassment to the Municipality. The work has been going on for some four weeks. Workers get dropped off in the morning with little or no progress. The job, which is suppose to take about three days, consists of removing the concrete block floor in front of the entrance to the underground parking, back-filling, compacting and re-casting with concrete. 

Workers allegedly said that there is no money to buy cement. Whether they are municipal workers or contractors for the municipality could not be established.

This is four weeks of labour to do a three day job. Workers sit around.
