Man killed in collision on N12

A collision involving two bakkies occurred on the N12 about 25 kilometres from Potchefstroom earlier today. One of the bakkies was pulling a trailer.

It is believed that the one bakkie collided with the trailer of the other bakkie causing it to swerve out of control. When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found that one man had succumb to his injuries and was declared dead on scene. Two other patients sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. ER24 treated and transported both injured patients to various hospitals including Mediclinic Potchefstroom for further treatment. The cause of the incident remains unknown. Local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
