Father and child killed, mother airlifted to hospital after shooting incident

A mother is fighting for her life in a Johannesburg hospital after she was shot multiple times.

Just after midnight Netcare911 paramedics were called to Jubillee Community Hospital on Main street in Hammanskraal.

Reports from the scene indicate that a mother, child and father were found shot at their home in Hammanskraal.

The father was declared dead at the scene, the child died in hospital.

Another Emergency service transported the mother and child to the hospital.

The Netcare helicopter was dispatched to the hospital to airlift the critically wounded thirty-year-old mother to a trauma 1 facility in Johannesburg for further medical care.

The exact detail as to how the three were shot will be subject for police investigation and comment.
