Suspect to appear in NW court for attempted murder

Potchefstroom: Today, 14 June 2016, a 44-year-old suspect is expected to appear in the Orkney Magistrates’ Court in connection with attempted murder.

The suspect’s court appearance came after he allegedly shot a 31-year-old victim in the stomach yesterday, June 13, 2016. According to information received, the suspect went to collect his money from the victim when an argument ensued between them. The suspect took out a firearm and allegedly shot the victim. The latter ran to a nearby house and was transported to a local hospital. The suspect handed himself over to the police in Kanana, and was charged with Attempted Murder.
