Nine children injured in taxi collision

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring says, "Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to Kopanong Hospital for further treatment. The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations."

VEREENIGIGNG. – Nine children aged between 9 and 13 years were injured this morning after a taxi and bakkie collided on the R82, roughly 5km from Vereeniging.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene and found both the taxi and bakkie on the side of the road. the bakkie was found lying on its side.

On further inspection, paramedics found that nine children from the taxi had been injured in this incident. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported.
