The case against the 15suspects including the provincial secretary of legislature, Malesela Ledwaba was withdrawn until further police investigations.
The suspects were arrested during a meeting at their regional office, Vereeniging on Friday.
The court heard that the suspects accosted their member of parliament, Parks Khaiyane at his house, Zone 14, Sebokeng.
It is alleged that they insisted Khaiyane resign from the party with immediate effect. The alleged assaults happened after the local government elections. Khaiyane who was at the court said he was attacked by a group of the people known to him in front of his family.
Since the assaults, rumours are that Khaiyane has joined the ANC, something that he flatly denies.
