VEREENIGING. – ER24 reported that a man, believed to be in his 50s, was left critically injured this afternoon when his bus collided with a truck and trailer while turning onto Visvang Road in Three Rivers in Gauteng.
Paramedics from the ER24 Vaal Branch arrived on the scene and found the bus and truck parked on the side of the road. The entire front right side of the bus had been ripped off when it collided with the truck and trailer. On inspection, paramedics found that the driver had already been moved to a nearby clinic for further treatment. Upon arrival, paramedics found the patient being treated by clinic staff. Paramedics took over assessment, finding that the patient had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.
The patient was treated for his injuries and provided with advanced life support treatment before he was transported to Mediclinic Vereniging for further treatment. Local authorities were on scene to investigate further. Russel Meiring – ER24 Spokesperson.
