Four injured after bakkie rolls

VANDERBIJLPARK. - Four people were injured this afternoon, including a four-year-old boy, after a bakkie rolled off the Kariba Road in Vanderbijlpark.

VANDERBIJLPARK. – ER24 reported that four people were injured this afternoon, including a four-year-old boy, after a bakkie rolled off the Kariba Road in Vanderbijlpark.

Paramedics from the ER24 Vaal branch arrived on the scene and found the bakkie, which had sustained a significant amount of damage, lying some distance away in the veld. The bodies of two men, a woman and young child were found lying outside the vehicle. On assessment, paramedics found that one man and the woman had sustained critical injuries in the collision. The remaining man and young child were found to have sustained moderate injuries.

Paramedics treated the patients and provided the critically injured with numeorus advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the patients were transported to Sebokeng Hospital for urgent treatment. The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations. Russel Meiring – ER24 Spokesperson.
