On April 28 Sergeant Lucky Mokoena was patrolling in Amelia. He received information from a member of the community about a man selling dagga. On arrival, Sergeant Mokoena introduced himself and followed the suspect to the shack.

When he entered he saw the suspect hiding something under the bed. He searched the plastic bag and found dagga packets wrapped with paper. He confiscated 427 grams of dagga with an estimated street value of R700. The suspect then apparently tried to bribe the police official.

Sgt Mokoena arrested the man for possession of dagga and bribery. The man was detained at the Zamdela SAPS. The suspect will appear in Sasolburg Magistrate Court soon.
