VANDERBIJLPARK. – A 25-year-old-man is in a critical condition in the Union Hospital in Alberton after he fell 30 metres at a company on Delfos Boulevard in Vanderbijlpark.
It is not yet clear whether he fell from the roof or through a ceiling. ER24 paramedics were called to the scene and found the patient lying on the floor surrounded by his colleagues. He had sustained serious injuries to his legs, pelvis, arms and back. Paramedics treated and immobilised the patient as well as provided him with advanced life support interventions, reports Russel Meiring, ER24 Spokesperson.
Once stable, he was transported to Mediclinic Emfuleni where he was further stabilised. The patient was later transferred by the ER24 Helicopter to the Union Hospital.The cause of the incident is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
The patient’s name hasn’t been released yet.
