Christmas comes early for Sassa members

Social grant payments for the December period were set to start on Tuesday, November 28.

According to the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) national spokesman, Kgomoco Diseko, SASSA funds will become available at all payment points from now until Friday, December 22.

“The last date for payments at SASSA cash pay points will be Friday, December 15.” Social grant beneficiaries are once again reminded to keep their SASSA payment cards and PINs safe by not sharing them with anyone.

“Beneficiaries should also take note that the expiry date of their cards has been extended beyond December 2017, so the cards don’t need to be replaced this year,” said Mr Diseko.
