BOPHELONG . – The South African National Civic Organisation (Sanco) will occupy all vacant land after June.

This was announced by provincial Sanco Chairperson, Chris Malimetja during the launch of the ‘Khuluma Mhlali’ Campaign. The provincial launch was hosted at the Bophelong Stadium over the weekend.

This warning follows Sanco saying they were going to meet Gauteng Premier, David Makhura and his cabinet in July.

“Sanco is sick and tired of waiting for government to implement land expropriation without compensation and Sanco does not want to be led by the EFFs in this.”

In his welcome address, regional chairperson of Sanco Mlungisi Hlongwane said, “Many councillors failed the ANC because Sanco was asleep. We are not scared to organise ten marches as long as residents are not satisfied.

“We are proud to have a progressive mayor under the leadership of Jacob Khawe.

“We want to inform the mayor that we are pleased that he is working with Sanco. We also want to remind him that have fifty volunteers in every branch that needs to be trained for various positions where they will be needed.

“These are the people who will never betray the masses. Those not paying services will be encouraged to pay. This is the government we voted into power,” he said.
