On Tuesday 2019-01-01 at 14:00 members of Sedibeng Flying Squad flexi relief was doing visible policing in Evaton. While patrolling members of the public gave them information of a person with an unlicensed fire arm. Sgt Radebe and CST Mokoena proceeded to Tshepong in Evaton where the said person was found in possession of a revolver of which the serial number was removed. The members also found (03) three live rounds. The suspect was arrested and detained at Evaton SAPS and appeared in the Sebokeng magistrates court on the charges of possession of unlicensed fire arm and ammunition.
The members of the SAPS are dedicated to prevent crime and with the assistance of the public one more unlicensed fire arm was taken off the streets.
