Pedestrian left critical following collision

VANDERBIJLPARK. – A 63-year-old man was left seriously injured this morning 3 June when he was knocked over by a light motor vehicle at the R57 and Milton Road Intersection in Vanderbijlpark.

ER24 personnel arrived on the scene at 06:12 to find the car parked on the side of the road while the pedestrian was found a few metres away.

ER24 medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained injuries to his arm and leg, leaving him in a serious condition. The man was treated for his injuries and provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported to Sebokeng Hospital for further care. The driver of the light motor vehicle escaped injury.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
