It is said that the incident occurred between the November 17 and November 21 at Emfuleni Drive, SW5 in Vanderbijlpark. Police spokesperson Sergeant Gertrude Makhale said that the claimant placed the ring in a drawer on November 17 and when he was about to take it to the owner, he found it missing.
“This ring is of importance and is having a special sentiment to the owner. It is a white gold diamond ring 18 carat with a clear beautiful stone, anyone who might have seen it, or has taken it is asked to please contact Detective Sergeant Caiphus Mohlala at the Vanderbijlpark Police station,” Makhale said, adding that any jewellery store or pawn shop that might have received such a ring is also asked to contact the police.
