Tiny Vaal dancers a big hit

VANDERBIJLPARK. – In the cuteness division no one can compete against them. Combined with their dance talent they are becoming a force to be reckoned with!
Three little superstars from town recently stole the show at the National Dance Star Championships and are now headed for the international stage. Zanté Visser, Lisa Furter and Zella-Zay van Pletzen are the youngest members of the Razzmatazz Dance School in town. All three are only three years of age and have only been dancing for a year.
“Toddlers are great to teach. You just have to put your trust in them have the patience and knowledge that – yes – they are in your studio to dance, but also to have fun,” says proud teacher Julie Hawley.
She realised that these three were gifted little dancers and decided to enter them. They were the youngest in the competition and had to compete against much older dancers as the youngest age category was 9 years and younger.
But the little blond beauties blew the judges away and claimed overall third place at SAs and qualified to compete at the World Championships in Croatia in May. Lisa, the youngest of the three, also did extremely well in the solo division and received overall fourth place, and thus will also be dancing her solo in Croatia.
“We were pleasantly surprised and overjoyed. We are so proud of them and believe the sky is the limit for them,” says Julie. She and the moms will be travelling with the little superstars to Croatia. The little ones are very excited and can hardly wait for the trip. According to Julie the start of every training session now kicks off with questions about airplanes and when they will be taking the trip.
