Three injured in Vanderbijlpark crash

Three people, including two young children, were injured in a collision on the N1 at the intersection of the R59 and the R42 in Vanderbijlpark over the weekend.

Shawn Herbst of Netcare 911 says there was a motor vehicle and truck involved in the collision. “Paramedics found that the driver of the vehicle, a 47-year-old man, sustained serious injuries. He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital by Netcare 1 helicopter.”

There were also two minor boys aged three and seven in the car, who sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were also taken to the hospital for further medical care. The cause of the accident is still unknown.
