Big thank you to local SPCA Supawters
VEREENIGING/VANDERBIJLPARK. - "Today we want to thank our Supawters for making us feel wanted. A plea for assistance went out recently as we were in dire need and we have had an overwhelming response from caring animal lovers," says Marlien de Klerk, manager of the two local SPCA brances.
“Our food store is bursting at the seams and it is comforting to know that we are now able to assist so many people in our area that have asked us for help. This is a trying time, one where kindness and compassion is tested and the only victor here is the kindness to animals. Thank you from the bottom of our paws and hearts,” says Marlien.
Vaalweekblad would like to plea with local residents to keep on supporting and donating to the SPCA in order for them to continue their much needed task. They always have vet and utility bills. They haven’t been able to pay their utility bill and have fallen far behind. All financial support, big or small, will be much appreciated.
The SPCA also have to rent their premises from the municipality and their overheads are very high. Water, electricity, vet bills, medicine, petrol, maintenance etc. the list continues.
