Last Friday community members protested in Blyvoor because the water supply to the former mining town had been cut. A part of the main water pipe to the village was also stolen by metal thieves. Some police members and members of the security company currently working in Blyvoor however found and retrieved the stolen pipes, and also cracked down on an illegal scrap metal dealer in the nearby Matariana Village.
