Gogo dies in fire

SHARPEVILLE. – The community of Tshepiso Phase2 in Sharpeville recently woke up to the sad news of the death of one of their own, Gogo Mantsopa Mahlangu.

Mahlangu who is in her late 70s succumbed to death following a fire that destroyed almost all her possesions inside her small RDP house.IMG_1171

It is said that she did not have electricity and that she used candles instead. Both the community and family members told Sedibeng Ster that they were deeply hurt by the occurance. “She died alone, we tried to help but there was nothing more we could do for her.”

Police were on the scene for preliminary investigations.
