This is little Danika`s story……
SASOLBURG. – Danika Vorster was born on the 23rd October 2015, she has a chromosome 6 deficiency, a cyst on her brain, the vermis on her cerebellum did not fully developed.
She had rocker bottom feet that was operated on when she was only 3 months old. She is seeing a occupation therapist every week and a physiotherapist to help her with development. She is physically and mentally challenged…. In May 2016 we took an x-ray of her back because there was a big lump…It showed that Danika had Scoliosis.
We went to see Dr Rowan Berkowitz to make her brace, due to the fact that her rib cage is pushing against her lung, heart and tummy…she need 2 braces. The quote for one brace is R 41450.60, and we already raised R 2,200, the second brace will be quoted in the beginning of next year, but the cost of that brace runs between R 60`0000 and R 70`000.
She is constantly coughing and vomiting. I’m asking you, as any mother would do for her child, to PLEASE help Danika in getting her braces….I do not have the funds to give for the braces, and it kills me to see my child suffer.
