VANDERBIJLPARK. – The Valke Vaal Rugby Referee Society is looking for new members to start and learn the art of refereeing in preparation for the new 2016 season. New members will be instructed in law interpretation, understanding the law, law application, on-field-positioning along with rugby etiquet.
The Valke Vaal region has set a target of 20 new referees for the new year. So why not be one of them. If you are between the ages of 16 and 50, interested in rugby, why not give it a try? Refereeing is enjoyable and you will meet and make new friends.
Understand why the whistle went and have your friends asking you if the referee or the commentator was correct in his call. The first training course will take place on August 25 at the Vanderbiljpark Rugby Club at 18.00. For information contact Richard Graham on 079 016 6815 or e-mail him on dickgr@vodamail.co.za.
