On Friday 12 July members of Sedibeng Flying Squad Constable Lebohang Thotsejane, Constable Leonard Netshituni and Sergeant Gerhard Van de Walt from Sasolburg K9 responded to a farm attack in Buffelshoek area North West Province where money and 2x firearms were taken.

The members received information that two VW Polos was involved and that the vehicles was traveling on the N1 Direction Orange Farms. The first VW Polo was spotted next to R28 off-ramp on N1. The suspect was found sitting in the vehicle that had a damaged tyre. The members then arrested the suspect and searched the vehicle and found two fire arms and a bucket with money. One .38 special revolver with one 105 live rounds and one 12 gauge shotgun with 25 live rounds which belonged to the complainant was found inside the vehicle.

The second VW Polo was later spotted in Orange Farms and after a high speed chase was stopped and 01 suspect was arrested while 02 other suspects managed to flee. The white Polo Sedan was searched and inside the vehicle 4 cell phones, 1 wrist watch and a wallet with cards that belongs to the complainant was found. The two suspects aged between 36 and 54 was remanded to police custody. The investigation is still ongoing.
