Cyclist hit-and-killed by light motor vehicle in Vanderbijlpark

A 24-year-old man was killed last night when he was knocked off his bicycle by a light motor vehicle on Ravel Road in Vanderbijlpark.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 20h15 to find a man lying on the side of the road next to his bicycle.
Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead.
The female driver of the light motor vehicle fortunately escaped injury. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
